| After
the wedding day and once your list is officially closed,
you will receive complimentary vouchers or pottery to
the value of 10% of the value of gifts which have been
purchased from the list by your guests.
There are no doubt a lot of questions
that you would like to ask about the process of compiling
the list and also guest purchases. To make things simpler
we have compiled a set of the most regularly asked questions
with the relevant answers.
When should I register?
3 months prior to the celebration date is usually adequate
timing. Most couples issue invitations 6-8 weeks prior
to the wedding date. We recommend that your list is
compiled about two to three weeks prior to the invitations
being issued.
How do I register?
You have two choices when registering with Stephen Pearce:
• You can register on line
• You can visit one of 3 retail outlets in Cork
and register directly with our retail consultants.
How does online registering work?
Online registration is very straightforward. Begin by
clicking on the 'Sign up Now' button, which will take
you to the registration pages. Here you will be asked
for basic information such as the Bride and Grooms names,
a contact address, email address and password. Once
you have completed this, you can log in and begin choosing
items you wish to have listed on your wedding list.
Once you are happy that you have your
items selected -you can always change them at a later
date, the list can be activated. A member of staff from
Stephen Pearce will check your list and make sure you
are getting the best out of our service. A short period
of time later the wedding list will be activated and
become available online for your friends and family
to view and use.
How does the registering process work in store?
• You will be invited to complete a registration
form with the relevant details of names, addresses,
wedding date etc.
• You will be invited to look around the showroom
and to make a list of the pottery and accessories that
you would like to have added to your list. Our teams
are available to help you at all times
• Once you have completed and returned your list
you will be entered into our computer and issued a number
and password
• Your typed list will be forwarded to you and
we would ask you to confirm that it has been entered
correctly before we make it available online and to
your guests
• We provide wedding list cards for you to send
to your guests with your invitations advising them that
your list is with Stephen Pearce
• You may choose to review the status of your
list at anytime by going online and using your allocated
password
• You can add items or remove items from your
list at anytime. To avoid confusion, we will not add
a guest's additional choice of gift to your official
list nor will we remove items from your list that have
been purchased elsewhere.
How can our guests purchase from
the list?
• Your list will be posted on our website under
Wedding List Service where your guests can view availability
of gifts and purchase on line
• Guests can make purchases over the phone
• When a guest comes into any of our 3 retail
stores they can see an up to date copy of your list
and purchase your gift in store
Guest purchases can be dealt with in several
ways. Your guests may wish to give you their gift in
person in which case we will send them the items from
the list if they have ordered on line or by phone. A
standard delivery charge will be made to your guest.
Alternatively, guests visiting our stores can take the
gifts with them. Where applicable we will notify your
guests of any special arrangements that you have made
with us to store and deliver (or ship) gifts (overseas)
after the wedding.
How will we know what has been
purchased?
You will be able to go online 24 hours a day to review
the status of your list. In addition we will send you
an email everytime a purchase is made on your list.
You will also receive a summary document to confirm
all gifts purchased and to advise you of the value of
your gift from us to the value of 10% of the items sold.
How will our gifts be delivered
and will there be a charge?
We provide a delivery service for those guests purchasing
on line and for those guests not wishing to take their
gift away with them. There is a standard delivery charge
for this service.
Most couples prefer to have all their gifts stored until
after the wedding. This can help facilitate house moves
etc. If storage has been agreed then gifts will be packed
securely for storage as opposed to individually gift-wrapped.
Items in storage can be collected or alternatively delivered
where appropriate. A standard delivery charges will
apply.
How long will our list remain
open?
Your list will remain open for at least 6 weeks following
the wedding date
Is it possible to return items
after the wedding?
It will be possible to exchange items on the list following
the wedding prior to the official closing date. It is
not possible to refund gift items.
What happens if there are items
outstanding on our list?
You will have the opportunity to buy additional items
off your list for up to six weeks following your wedding
date. You will also receive your gift of 10% in vouchers/pottery
from us on the purchase of these additional gifts. This
offer is not available on sale items or the purchase
of gift vouchers.
How do we close our list?
At a date convenient to you following the wedding you
can contact the Wedding List Service and arrange to
take delivery of your gifts if these are being stored.
You can review any outstanding items and either purchase
them yourselves or alternatively use your gift of vouchers/pottery
from Stephen Pearce to help complete your list.
